It depends what type of user you are. I dont use the 3.5 lav input at all. never did. So the size reduction, battery life and a few more upgrades they did made me upgrade.

It's not all that smaller. I'm less of a fan of the magnetic clip as i almost lost it adjusting the mic and it slipped off.
