This was a few dollars less new on Black Friday. This SKU has been out for a while, at least June. so these could have considerable milage on the parts already. Or an unopened Black Friday return.

New these things are $700 on Walmart's website right now. I think RAM prices are stable, so it's probably worth it to wait around for some other pre-built sales.

Yes, load Bazzite on it and you'll get an nearly identical experience to a Steam Box, by the expected specifications.

edit: Oops, it's new. Good deal then.

8400F is pretty underwhelming in CPU gaming benchmarks. Microcenter has 7600X with mobo & 16 gb ddr5 RAM for $319. But adding on a case, PSU, GPU, CPU fan, and SSD (and OS if you need) will run you much higher than $600 in the end. Only if you really care about getting better entry level frames.

This is a good 1080p setup. 60+ FPS at ultra on every game out there. Ray tracing isn't fantastic on these but it can do some.

CPU is good enough at this level. It's about as fast a 5600.

The name seems dark and scary. I'm going to add a W to the name for empowerment because we got this ladies and we are the new gaming industry.

12VO power supply that looks to be a proprietary shape, won't be able to upgrade GPU to anything that requires a 12VHPWR or PCIe. Additionally replacing the motherboard would be a giant pain also due to 12VO. Do not buy this thinking you can upgrade anything in the future.....

This is a nice machine for the price, you can upgrade the PSU down the road, their are vids on utube on what psu part number, Id say run it as is for awhile, Id def recommend this one to budget gamers.

I'm trying to install my old 1TB 2.5" SSD, but the PSU doesn't have a SATA power connector
