Torque Test Channel just dyno'd this one this week. Not class leading and the numbers on the box are BS, but they pointed out its a screaming value at this price point for the home DIYer. https://youtu.be/l4k0tYz2N4U

Do you think the Hercules kit at $97.99 is worth the extra 30ish dollars? I am on the fence between these two options and its the first power tool that i am buying. I like that Hercules has 3 lights around the shaft and it has 3-speed controls.

Also, i have no idea who has better warranty replacement process?

Ridged has the best "warranty" in the business. Lifetime for tools, charger AND batteries via their Lifetime Service Agreement, provided you register withing 90 days. If service is needed for anything, just re-register replacement items sent to you to keep the LSA going.

The LSA applies if you buy their batteries separately. Just ensure you register withing 90 days.

If you already are with another brand, you can get a Ridgid to brand x batter adapter on eBay.

Also, Ryobi, Ridged (portable power tools) and Milwaukee are all made by the same company, TTI. Only Ridgid offers the Lifetime Service Agreement.

Flex is the ONLY lifetime warranty. The question is how long they'll be around.

Cool, never heard of Flex. Their warranty page says I've got to register within 30 days for their 24V items.

And the fine print says the following:

24V Batteries & Chargers: Limited Lifetime Warranty with Registration. Maximum of 3 battery replacements will be covered.

I have no experience with post-Sears warranty support, but with low-end drills and impact drivers all the brands are so close together that really what matters are the other tools in the battery ecosystem. You generally want to avoid having a bunch of onesy twosy tools with different batteries / chargers both from practicality and also so you're not just burning money on batteries. Think about what more specialty tools you might want, pick a battery platform based on that, and then wait for that drill / driver to go on sale.
Craftsman and Herc are both pretty diverse here, Craftsman is nice because it's sold in Lowes, Ace, Amazon etc so stuff goes on sale often. Getting the best prices out of HF takes a little effort but if you're a HF coupon-scraper already (and esp if you live near one and can hit the in-store deals) then it makes sense to get their tools.
