Firstly, for the questions about specs, refer to this:

AMEGAT MagFusion Z Foldable Qi2 Certified 15W Wireless Charger Stand [amazon.com]

It has been removed from Aukey's main site, but still listed on one of their local sites.

https://www.aukey.my/products/lc-...ng-station

Edit: B&H Product Listing [bhphotovideo.com] (also indicating MFW).

Yes, it includes a 30W wall adapter, and yes, it should be MFW-certified (important for Apple Watch owners), unless they made an exception for this version, which has BB-specific model number. Possible, but I doubt it.

AMEGAT is Aukey's way of sneaking back onto Amazon. Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Ravpower did the same, and was wack-a-moled again using a few different brand names I don't recall, but Aukey has been more successful in sticking around.

The Amazon purge of those brands actually did shoppers more harm than good, since it eliminated a lot of legit products, and stifled competition, resulting in fewer choices, and higher prices. Those who have followed Anker know full well it took advantage of the situation. And those brands were hardly the only guilty parties at a time when almost every Amazon review began with "I got this for free, but…" an issue of their own making. But that's another topic altogether…

The reason why this charger is on sale for such a large discount (it usually goes for closer to $80-100) is because it is an older Qi2 15W model, at a time when the Qi2.2 became the latest standard earlier this year, yielding 25W charging capacity.

There's nothing inherently wrong with a lower charging rate, and some prefer the low-and-slow method, but we live in a fast-paced world where faster charging can be a practical need. (In which case, I'd just simply use a cable instead)

So, the older 15W models, which really aren't that old, are being discounted, while a wave of new 25W models have started to hit the market, like the obscenely expensive Anker Prime desktop stand, its typically costly Belkin competitor, and the foldable 25W ESR travel charger.

The Costco-specific version of the newest Belkin 25W travel charger was a $55 deal here not long ago. Anker has a 25W travel charger on the way as well, but it will be a Prime model and like the desktop stand, no doubt it will be expensive. Their non-Prime 15W travel charger is already close to $100. But the new 25W model will have active cooling via a fan, which only the ESR 25W model has at this time. Hopefully, between the two, they will set a price ceiling, not a floor, for fan-cooled travel chargers, because they do benefit from active cooling.

To me, this deal is comparable to the INIU travel charger at its regular $30-something price, though it does pop up as an ~$18-20 deal from time to time.

Between the two, the Aukey is bulker, and putting aside preferences about the physical form factor, more importantly has an MFW-certified 5W "fast" watch charger.

To claim that, the manufacturers have to source the watch charging module directly from Apple, which comes at a higher cost which is reflected in the retail price. Most cheaper chargers lack MFW, including even some of the expensive ones, like the Kuxiu and their ilk. It is a feature usually only found on higher-priced models.

While MFW doesn't guarantee freedom from glitches (which is not an uncommon thing with wireless chargers in general), it does reduce the risk of compatibility issues when charging an Apple Watch, potentially including future software updates, and is less likely to cook your watch if implemented properly.

Both this and the INIU (as well as the Belkin folding travel chargers) are constructed of plastic.

The tri-fold style travel chargers come in both cheaper (and some not so cheap) plastic versions, as well as the more expensive all-metal versions, branded by Kuxiu and other brands but principally made by one manufacturer.

Strictly as a deal, $33 for a fully-certified, turnkey package (including case) from a recognizable brand name should qualify as a deal for most folks. Though it does come about from being an older model that wasn't designed for the very latest standard.

Of course, it is also subjective, and for those who believe otherwise, I'd suggest taking a closer look at the wireless travel charger market in general before coming to a different conclusion.

Fake reviews and pay-for-review schemes. They were banned along with many other brands including urlhasbeenblocked, tacklife, etc.

I have some tacklife stuff and a bunch of Aukey items and they're all good. To the point where I went to tacklife's site directly to order something else at least twice.

I wouldn't let this sway your buying decision if your research indicates the product fits your needs.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy Aukey, I still use one of their travel adapters and a portable power bank from them and have nothing but praise.

Fake reviews and transactions. But their product quality is not bad. I would say as good as anker

Looks nice but the side ways fold out design of the iWatch charger would probably block your iPhone in horizontal (standby mode) orientation if both the iPhone and iWatch were being charged at the same time.

I figured aukey just branched off and changed names to like these new lisen and baseus companies. Aukeys site for a couple of years after that ban was just a graveyard selling off their old stuff.

Have a set of earbuds from Aukey from a couple years ago - still working fine and they were $30 at the time.

There's a photo review that shows the iphone in horizontal and the iwatch being charged above it. Might answer your question for you?
