Corded, not battery, in case that matters

I have the 3 gallon with same HP and I love it. It was a killer deal from HD for $30 a few months ago. This one is slightly bigger and is $10 less than the 3 gallon right now. Pretty solid deal if you need one. Gonna have to convince myself I don't need another.

Are there vac bags available for this unit, OEM or other? I have a small Dewalt vac that did not have any available, but found a bag adapter on ebay that was 3D printed

Thanks OP! Not as convenient, but to make this corded version portable, just bring along a power station that can handle the wattage.

Is this compatible with the Rigid Car Kit that's on sale?

I don't think so as it says 1-7/8" and the Rigid kit is 1-1/4" maybe it comes with a adapter IDK

It's awesome!! I had a DeWalt DCV581H previously and now I have a Milwaukee M18 0880-20 as well as the RIDGID (HD0318). Unless you have very specific size limitations, they all feel about the same general size, even though the RIDGID is 3 gal whereas the DW and M18 are 2 gal. The RIDGID has the best suction. I would put the M18 at about 80 % of the RIDGID and the DW at less than 50 % in terms of suction. The RIDGID takes bags (and you can get decent cheap ones from Amazon--I use Spacetent) but the M18 and DW do not. The RIDGID is much quieter than either the DW or M18. I also love the dustpan feature on the RIDGID. The RIDGID has an externally stored hose, but internally stored accessories, compared to the M18 internal hose and accessory storage, and the DeWalt's external hose and accessory storage. That comes down to personal preference but I certainly have no issues with the RIDGID. FWIW, I use the RIDGID with a DeWalt battery via an adapter (since I didn't want to get into yet another battery platform). With the adapater I have, it will take up to a 5Ah battery (but not a POWERSTACK 5Ah) and I typically use it with a 4Ah compact.

Overall I would rate the RIDGID as the best 18V cordless vacuum out there. I haven't tried the M18 FUEL (PACKOUT) one, but according to its specs, it still has significantly lower airflow than the RIDGID (50 vs 76 CFM). That being said, it you are on the M18 platform and want to connect it to a PACKOUT stack, the M18 FUEL would probably make most sense.

Yes, they use the VF3501 bags (without modification). If you're looking for cheap Amazon bags for it, I like the Spacetent ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RZ6XWXG
