This looks a lot nicer than the HORI I have sitting on my desk right now. But also $4 isn't that big of a sale so I guess I'll tough it out lol.

This thing is awesome on Steam Deck and MiSTer. Just make sure to read the documentation so you'll know how the modes/lights/remapping work. I think I left a comment on an earlier post about the nuanced remapping.

EDIT: Including my 2025.10.16 post:
I like this a lot. Very low latency in all modes. The back buttons can act as duplicates of other buttons, or programmed with longer macros. The manual explains how to program macros; but if you hold the buttons for significantly less than 3 seconds, that's how to instead duplicate buttons.

Wired only is understandable at this price but the fact it's not a removable cable is deterring me from purchasing. If it had USB C I could use the same cable for my other wired controllers

Alright so I did bite on this one, I'm a sucker for a good controller deal.
It's definitely nicer than my Hori. One thing I was having issues with was that it wasn't detecting on my switch, but I figured it out.
>system settings >controllers and sensors >pro controller wired communication

I don't know why the Hori didn't require this, I guess the switch thinks this is a wireless controller?

Other than that the controller is nice, and it's funny having xbox-layout inputs on the switch again, because I was having issues with Sonic because it kept telling me to press X and I would press Y and vice versa.

I was critical of people complaining about the cable the last time this controller came up, but the cable is so bad especially in the cold that it moved me into just buying an 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller. Phenomenal controller for the price though, with a horribly cheap cable.

$4 off such a small amount is a lot for one and for two it's a great controller and deal even at regular price.

I have one and have been playing Nightreign with it. it's not as good as a DS4 or a Dualsense in my opinion, but it's very good for the price. I bought it on a whim when the R3 started getting flaky on my Dualsense because I liked the look of it. L3/R3 are probably the weakest thing on this controller too, but you can always remap them to the back buttons, which is nice.
I have zero problem with the built in cable? It's a perfectly average cable with strain relief. It's not like it can be used wirelessly, so having it attached causes me no grief. Plus I've had controllers completely fail at the microusb port, or get looser at the usb-c port, leading to occasional disconnects (switched to using an 8bitdo usb dongle from wired on PC with the dualsense because of loose usb-c). It's an average length, but if you need it to be longer there are always usb extension cables.
