For a bit less you can get a refurbished 3060 Ti or 3070 from Zotac and get something faster (on average) with fewer quirks. (I think the RTX 5060 has gotten down to $250 a few times too.)

This is still a good deal as it's not much slower, new and has more VRAM which is good for longevity. You should still look up benchmarks to check if whatever games you're looking to play are not broken, though this is now rare.

Oh, you should also check and see if your system supports "resizable BAR" as this card will not run well without it enabled.

I picked up a B580 and have been testing it over the last few days.

The results are interesting. I don't think this is a card for everyone.

On Windows, with mainstream modern games, it performs well overall. With older games, it is hit or miss. Many games run perfectly but certainly not all. Some examples:

In Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic 2(2005), some of the UI elements don't render
In Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag(2013), enabling MSAA causes improper display and application crashes
Return to Castle Wolfenstein(2001) simply didn't launch
I only tested 15 games, so finding 3 with issues is material in my opinion. That being said, a lot of people aren't playing games from 20 years ago so this might not matter to you.

This probably won't matter to most people but on Linux, my results are much more dire. Performance is mostly bad and many modern games have major compatibility issues. It is bad enough that I am wondering if I am doing something wrong there.

Seems to compare to an RTX 4060. Seems pretty decent, just not sure of driver support.

Should I go for this if I use 1080p/60 or something like 5060Ti 16gb? Looking to keep this for a while.

Really depends on what you want to play and what system you have. You really need a pretty fast and modern system to drop in an ARC card.

I don't think 5060 Tis are great values. I'd look at a 5070 as well or a RX 9060 XT 16GB for that matter.

Setup is a 12700k with 64GB of DD4 and 2TB Samsung 990. I pickup some AAA games from time to time.

Currently on a 5700xt but lacks Ray Tracing and can't stand having to full blast the fans to keep it from overheating (known AMD issue).

Good enough and modern enough for a B580. Looks like a fine option at 1080/60 if you want to be economical. I have an A580 on a build and it hasn't been too quirky. The daylight between a 5700XT and a B580 isn't going to be huge though in most games.

I am more concerned with the future support from Intel. Intel CPU's are going to embed Nvidia graphics, and corporation supports for dedicated graphic cards, from both technical and financial perspectives, are going to wane.

Could be, but odds are you did your part by installing drivers. Is REBAR enabled? What you say gives me pause, because I mostly play older games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. et al. Interesting indeed. Some research needed, thx for speaking up.

How are returns handled for this? I have Walmart+ and the return details only state for shipped and sold by Walmart on this product listing even though it is sold by Newegg.

Yes, I have REBAR enabled. In addition to double checking it in the BIOS, the Intel Windows drivers check for it and tell you the status of REBAR.

Yes and also be clear there was a cpu overhead issue and I'm not sure if that got fixed but basically there was a big difference in performance when this was paired with a high end cpu compared to a mid range cpu even though technically this should scale perfectly with a mid range cpu.
