While I've never owned this set, from everything I have read, this is absolutely the best tool "set" to buy under $100.00. Totally different quality than the Husky or Kobalt sets that go on sale every year for $99.00. Not knocking those, I'm just saying that this Dewalt set is awesome!
I'm sure someone else out there knows, but I don't think this particular Dewalt set has dipped below $100.00 for about 10 years.

I bought this in 2021 on a Black Friday sale at Fleet Farm for $90. That was an absolute steal - and so is this! This is a fantastic set that has everything most people will need, and the it is extremely high quality. Recommended without hesitation. If you need a socket set, this is THE one to buy.
I ended up getting one at FF too, and then they popped up as available at HD again, so got 2 more sets that I gave as gifts. This was all between 23:00 and 3am!

I got mine on some amazing deal of it + another tool for $100 years ago plus since I keep it in my car having the wrenches and bits handy is a perk.
If I had to rebuild my car kit today I'd probably go with this wrench set (more complete) and a bag with a screwdriver+ bits and some wrenches.
That being said, the 247 hasn't ever missed a socket that I needed, so maybe that's not so important.
Either way, great set and great price
