While I've never owned this set, from everything I have read, this is absolutely the best tool "set" to buy under $100.00. Totally different quality than the Husky or Kobalt sets that go on sale every year for $99.00. Not knocking those, I'm just saying that this Dewalt set is awesome!
I'm sure someone else out there knows, but I don't think this particular Dewalt set has dipped below $100.00 for about 10 years.

Looks like a really good deal! Historical low per ccc. Usual price is 170 though not 290. Good reviews on average as well.

Had 1 of these sets for years! Fixed my former wrapper car with it and done a bunch of house repairs! Nothing broke buttoned of the sockets were doubles...... had to call warrenty to get the free correct socket sizes. Make sure EVERY SOCKET FITS THE RACKETS! some of the sockets will not fit any rackets

As noted by others, Amazon inflated the "regular" price but this is still a decent deal for decent tools.

I've been wanting one of these "gold standard" sets for over 5+ years, but had refused to pay more than $100 for it (yeah I know that Costco blew them out for $49 back in the day but not counting that) - couldn't do the more recent "Farm & Fleet" deal for <$100 because no stores were nearby, and I even put together a DeWalt 226 pc kit from Ebay offer for the tools only (in a box) and the actual DeWalt toolbox last year (for a sum total of $136), but we're talking like 45lbs in an enormous box. I just jumped on this as a set to put in my car, hopefully the missus isn't going to yell at me too much as she thinks I have too many tools that I don't presently use ("hoarding" she calls it)!

Same. I don't use it all that often, but its 100% necessary when I do. Well worth it given it'll probably be the only one I ever buy as a normal homeowner. Haven't lost any pieces yet!!

Bought this exactly 2 years ago for $155 on amzn. This is a steal at this price, so grab it quick. This set is a rarity because it comes with 6 point sockets exclusively.

anyone using these with impact wrench for a while? safe enough?
btw, salutations to amz for not pulling plug as soon as HD went oos (many hrs ago). if i hear anyone whining next year how they wanted this set, ill have their SD pass revoked.
