Nice, in for 1, never have too many extension cords, un less you don't need one then they are everywhere, extension cords, 10 mm sockets and the missing pair of socks, all things that break the laws of relativity and local space-time

I was actually looking for a 10mm wrench today and found my 50' orange extension cord i was missing in the process ... which is great ... but still no 10mm

Sort of true. Wire ampacity really has a factor of safety of around 3x so even if you abuse it by pumping 20 through something like this you're probably far away from where you'd actually have any problems from just the conductors heating. In fact, my UL listed 12A EVSE (car charging cable) only has 16AWG conductors from the electronics box to the car plug when the NEC wants 14AWG for the same 12 continuous amps. Wire length only impacts voltage drop which isn't generally a hazard in and of itself, but just efficiency.

You're much, much more likely to have something catch fire from a worn or broken connection in the plugs. That has much more to do with the quality of the contacts and soldering than the wires.
