Just bought a 77" C5. Spent $1700.
I also have an 85" Sony X90CH.

Compared to 83", it's only ~8% increase in viewing area.
I don't think 8% is worth $1000.

C5 is a great TV.
Picture quality is amazing.

You're right... 83" is a premium size jump. But when the 83 is still going strong in a few years, I doubt you'd look back on it and say "i really should've went smaller!".

I actually did that test in my parents living room. It makes a difference. It really does. Especially at 10 to 12 ft sitting distance

Yeah that's what people told me here too. Then I actually had a 77" next to an 83" and I couldn't go back. I bought an 83" B5 and a 77" C5 because they were the same price during black Friday

After testing them side by side, it was enough for me to return both and wait for the 83" C5 to go back on sale. That's how much of a difference that 16% y'all keep talking about makes. It made me go through the hassle of returning both TVs

I ordered a 55" C5 that was supposed to come with a wall mount, install and an LG boom box.
I only received the TV and LG is not honoring the promotion.
I think it's time to AVOID LG !
