US Mobile's annual Unlimited Premium plan stands out for strong value when the chosen network fits, with priority data, 100GB hotspot, and 20GB international roaming adding real utility for travelers. Coverage feedback points to big location differences across Dark Star, Warp, and Light Speed, so checking the carrier map closely matters. The main caveats are confusing network naming, Dark Star only port in restrictions, and smartwatch support not being included on this offer. Existing customer pricing and renewal handling also appear inconsistent, so the deal works best when the network and terms line up with your needs.

  • people who need hotspot-heavy use on the AT&T-backed option because commenters mention the premium annual pricing includes large hotspot allowances (e.g., 20GB hotspot in prior annual deals, and one user cites 100GB hotspot on this kind of annual promo).

  • buyers who are okay committing to the AT&T (Dark Star) network for a full year because multiple commenters call it a great deal "if you are ok with ATT," and others report usable reception on Dark Star at home (e.g., suburban Philadelphia).

  • travelers who want included international roaming because commenters say the plan's 20GB international roaming is a "huge convenience" and works pretty seamlessly.

  • people who want to test coverage before fully committing because commenters say US Mobile offers a free trial (and even suggest using a dummy email to avoid promo issues).

  • households that can use the multi-network add-on to reduce dead zones because commenters say having two networks available helps cover weak areas where one carrier has dead zones/slowdowns.

  • people who need Apple Watch cellular on the AT&T (Dark Star) network because commenters say the Apple Watch isn't included on Dark Star and that smartwatch activation requires hoops (and companion watch lines may be limited to Warp/Verizon).

  • buyers who expect "free network transfers" to be available during the year because commenters dispute that benefit and cite terms that you must remain on Dark Star for the full annual cycle or the discount is voided.

  • people who live in areas where Dark Star/AT&T performs poorly because commenters report Dark Star and Warp "both kinda suck" in places like San Jose and LA, and others say AT&T didn't work for them and they were later charged full price after switching.

  • families planning a move who want the most reliable coverage across rural areas because commenters warn AT&T capacity can be horrible in rural areas and say they'd prefer Verizon for a family move.

  • existing US Mobile customers hoping for retention pricing because commenters say US Mobile "doesn't seem to offer anything to existing customers" and that they were willing to let them walk rather than apply the last deal or offer retention.

Well, the network will be better if and when they get the DISH spectrum up and running. But AT&T is saying that could take three years to fully deploy. And that's after the FCC transaction is approved, which hasn't happened yet.

If I was moving family to this, I would want Verizon. AT&T rural has horrible capacity issues after allowing unlimited LTE hotspots back in 2017-2018.

I've definitely had better reception with both the Verizon and T-Mobile networks than AT&T across many states and cities.

Because of this deal I started trying ATT in my area and I see that it has better reception than Verizon in the areas I roam. So it might be a good deal for me. Let's see in few days.

Also if you get this plan dont forget to turn off auto renewal or you will be charged 400 bucks

They just had their "sweet deal" for $119/$150 for the same plan (Same deal but cheaper)

I'd imagine they would run some kind of new years deal in January.

I'm waiting for that one, only because I'd rather have T-Mobile coverage. It's better in my area.

Where can I find the exact current coverage strength for different networks like AT&T, T-Mobile, or Mint in my area?

I believe that was starter for 119. And this premium plan was 360 with reimbursement with a visa/MC to make it a 180 for the plan (sweeter something). I bought this plan with that deal.

This is a good price for great service, even if not quite as slick as some of their recent deals.
My one quibble with US Mobile is that they don't seem to offer anything to existing customers. I chatted with them and they were willing to let me walk rather than letting me take advantage of the last deal or offering me anything at all to stay. So switching back and forth between them and Mint or Visible or whatever seems like the best longer term option. USM is my favorite, hands down, but if something else that works well for me is considerably cheaper, I have no loyalty for corporations who show no gratitude toward me.

Best source would be the coverage map on each of the actual carriers' main sites, in case USM isn't as up to date. But you can just go to usmobile.com site and click NETWORKS right at the top, it isn't exactly hard to find.

All three networks are pretty close in my area. Verizon, er Lightspeed, has the best data speeds but Warp (Tmo) has slightly greater coverage. Darkstar (AT&T) tends to be somewhere in between but is a solid choice and happens to have the best signal at my house, which was why I switched to that last year when we had a tornado and days-long power outage so I was off wifi. In most major urban/suburban areas all three are usually pretty good.

Pretty sure that is the correct play, just switch between carriers that have the good new customer deals. I don't know of any prepaid carrier that will give existing customers the new customer deal

Not necessarily: on Black Friday/Cyber Monday they had the $167 deal on T-Mobiles Network... I believe it wasn't unlimited data( I may be wrong). Around 12/19 the $179 deal was, AT&T network - pay $390 upfront and get a $211 e-gift card. The gift card can't be toward phone bill. I pulled the trigger on. Ps, the gift card expires in 3 months, lol

There's a difference in offering a low, below cost price to attract a new customer vs offering that price to an existing customer. I assume you understand why this works the way it does. Yes, if it was continuously cheap and better that would be awesome.
