Because of this deal I started trying ATT in my area and I see that it has better reception than Verizon in the areas I roam. So it might be a good deal for me. Let's see in few days.

Also if you get this plan dont forget to turn off auto renewal or you will be charged 400 bucks

This is a good price for great service, even if not quite as slick as some of their recent deals.
My one quibble with US Mobile is that they don't seem to offer anything to existing customers. I chatted with them and they were willing to let me walk rather than letting me take advantage of the last deal or offering me anything at all to stay. So switching back and forth between them and Mint or Visible or whatever seems like the best longer term option. USM is my favorite, hands down, but if something else that works well for me is considerably cheaper, I have no loyalty for corporations who show no gratitude toward me.

I've definitely had better reception with both the Verizon and T-Mobile networks than AT&T across many states and cities.

Have you gotten them to give you any better pricing when renewing?

That moot cuz US mobile has all three at once with a small fee($5 to 10/mo)
One carrier is always going to have deadzone and good zone. But having two at once has rare deadzone and slowdown.
I have AT&T for my main line and was traveling across the Plains states this summer and wanted some additional coverage, so I added a US Mobile Warp (Verizon) line, and it helped fill in some coverage for me and provided phone data and hotspot for when I was camping in some spots. I did still have dead spots while driving and one camping spot.

I was happy enough with them that when some of the others on my phone plan are done with their phone payments, I think I'll break up the band and move my line to US Mobile Dark Star (AT&T). With 200GB of hotspot (second 100GB is at 8Mbps), I think it'll be great for me when traveling (hotspot then continues to be 600Kbps after the 200GB).

I've also just picked up a StarLink Mini (currently $229). They offer a new $5 per month standby plan which others are saying will let do you WiFi or VOIP calling and some slow data. This seems like it'll get me better options in terms of making phone calls anywhere, texting, with some limited data options. So I probably won't do a second line any more with a separate carrier.

I figured out the hard way that you cannot add a smartwatch with the same number on Dark Star/AT&T. You have to purchase a standalone plan and your watch will have a different number. It seems there's a way to get your stuff like texts and calls to work with your phone but there are a ton of hoops to jump through and using stuff like call forwarding. It'll gladly let you buy a companion plan but it won't allow activation of the watch saying no comparable lines were found.
can only add a companion line for a smartwatch with Warp/Verizon plans at this time.
That's the show stopper for me switching to USM. AT&T has far better coverage in my area. I could get a cheap AT&T line for our phones but then the watch would have to be on Verizon. Not happening.

Narrowed it down to Cricket or Consumer Cellular for out iPhones & Watches.

If I let my USM line expire on Dec 30 for example, would I qualify on Jan 1 or would I literally have to be a new customer.

Anyone know if this deal applies to multiple lines? If I bring over two lines from Mint, would each of them be able to get this price?
Yes open the account and buy each of the lines separately. Add the coupon for each of the line purchases. I've done this in previous deals. You can activate the lines at different times also.

Using this service now on T-Mobile network and the speeds and priority connection is actually very impressive

I'm on the darkstar and warp networks. Both kinda suck in San Jose and LA. Might try the T-Mobile network. Luckily work benefits gives me 100 monthly. I can buy annual plans every other month if I wanted 😂
Do you have 5G on iphone?

I wish they were focused on T-mobile instead of AT&T. I don't think AT&T has upgraded jack sht in a decade.

Is it possible to buy this deal in Dark Star and switch to Warp?
At my place, ATT sucks on coverage only Verizon is good next comes T-Mobile.

It says Free Network Transfer **

Thoughts!

My Starter plan was up for renewal last month. They renewed it at the BF promo price.

Anyone know if there is a limit to how long you can wait before porting? My TotalWireless iPhone13 should be unlocked by end of January

The way you put this comment makes it seem automatic. But my experience says otherwise.

Did you leave out that you needed to ask them to do it? I doubt they just took it upon themselves to hook you up. Did you get the full new year? Was your exp/renewal date just right to use the offer while it was valid?

I recently chatted for an offer to be applied, which was expiring 2 weeks before my year was up for renewal.

At first, they tried to claim it was only for new customers, but there was no such wording in the offer email. I did not argue their point, but I mentioned that I could find better deals from others if they could not help me. They reconsidered and started my new year from that day with the code. I got the new year for $199 per line instead of $250 per line. It cost us 2 weeks of service for a savings of $100 for us with 2 lines. I was not about to go without service, waiting and hoping for another deal to hit. This was before BF (Nov 13th).

So my experience is you have to ask, and you might have to push past a no. It reminded me of our annual cable bill promotion fight. They don't always give you their best offer first.

Did you check the terms?

"Network transfers are blocked for this offer. The line must remain on Dark Star for the full duration of the annual cycle. Attempts to transfer the line to any other network will void the discount, and the line's authorized payment method will be charged the difference between the full price of the annual Unlimited Premium plan and the discounted price."
