I was just about to head out to microcenter and buy the parts for my rebuild. But the 5070ti, CPU/ram/mobo combo alone were $1300

I think I may need to get this for those things alone.

I just bought one, going to test it out and see how it performs. If it works, I'll keep it. Seems like a good deal!!!

Are you talking about a dead deal? Cause that's not helpful. Also, when I was looking earlier I don't remember the price for the 5070ti systems being better than this. The amd processor may have been "better" but it's really nothing you'd notice. They test on low quality to get cpu constrained. But real world, 99% of us are playing newer games at higher quality and resolution where you're gpu bound. Watch gpu benchmarks and you'll see the gpu is rarely over 50%.

It's so odd... looking at benchmarks for 1440p gaming... some show little or no difference between the CPU in this setup (Ultra 9 285) vs 9800x3d / 7800x3d... but others show a large difference.

I filtered out:
Older benchmarks as things change with time/updates.
Benchmarks using no dedicated GPU... I saw used 4090, 5080, 9070 xt, etc

Same...I want a 9800x3d or at least a 7800x3d but we can all agree nvdia gpu are better although more expensive so I also aim at 5070ti with it.

Just left microcenter. Went from being reasonable human looking at $1600 systems to a $2700 build I'm starting as we speak.

Considering my last build was in February 2016 and around $2000, I think I'll be good until 2036.

The combo deals at microcenter are legit right now considering ram prices
