I've been really happy with these and the broader Eufy camera ecosystem. They have worked well for me, the solar panels are effective, and there is a good experience without needing a subscription. Nice deal!

I've been very disappointed with my Eufy camera systems. If I do it over again I'd rather go with a NVR and PoE type solution like Reolink.
Ways I've been disappointed by Eufy and Anker:
- They had a bad security bug where they basically let anyone in the world view your cameras for a while. It was a back door where anyone could view your video. To me it proves incompetence, or malice.
- They allow SD card recording, but the SD card ends up readable only by their camera so you can't pop it in anywhere else to read - you must read it using their app while the card is in the camera. So you are still locked in to allowing their app to read your video through their network, even if you try to record offline, you'll eventually have to let their app access your video.
- No RTSP so you are locked into their system and app forever. You'll always be a second class user to them if you don't pay the subscription.
For a little more you could get a NVR with PoE cameras and not deal with any of that BS. Actually own your own video data.
