ecowitt uses 900mhz signal for long distance and going through walls to their hub and then uploads via wifi to multiple systems including custom settings for your own server
it's well done unlike the bluetooth stuff
oh and actually calibrated

this is the ecowitt basic hub which is wifi but also the 900mhz receiver for all the other sensors
it also has built-in barometer, temp and humidity so it's basically a starter kit
it's the size of a matchbox, I like the led because it tells me when my internet is offline at a glance (the red light will blink when it cannot upload)

they also have a 5ghz gateway but it's $30+ and you don't need any bandwidth for sensor upload once a minute
