Their outdoor soil moisture sensor is junk. Connected once and never again.

Quote from avalon :
if y'all want to track temp/humidity get an ecowitt system which is made by fine-offset who makes the sensors for a lot of theseecowitt uses 900mhz signal for long distance and going through walls to their hub and then uploads via wifi to multiple systems including custom settings for your own serverit's well done unlike the bluetooth stuffoh and actually calibratedtheir have their own website shop with usa warehouse or amazonexampleshttps://www.amazon.com/ECOWITT-Mu...14-0959331https://www.amazon.com/s?i=mercha...e-asc-rankthis is the ecowitt basic hub which is wifi but also the 900mhz receiver for all the other sensorsit also has built-in barometer, temp and humidity so it's basically a starter kitit's the size of a matchbox, I like the led because it tells me when my internet is offline at a glance (the red light will blink when it cannot upload)there are coupons sometimes to make it under $20 shippedhttps://www.amazon.com/Ecowitt-Te...B0978XLG8Thttps://shop.ecowitt.com/products/gw1100they also have a 5ghz gateway but it's $30+ and you don't need any bandwidth for sensor upload once a minute
That's a hard pass. Proprietary system. This is zigbee

I have a bunch of these connected to a Smartthings Hub and they work really well. They work in the freezer and outside (covered). They connect quickly, stay connected and are pretty accurate. They also show historical data (temps and humidity).

I have one of these I use with a Smartthings routine to turn on an auxiliary fan if the temperature gets to high in a room farthest away from the air conditioner in summer. Works great.
