MIPS were developed for bicycling, horsebackriding and many other sports requiring / suggesting helmets to protect one's head.

Great site, this is a fantastic price on a mips helmet that is certified for bike as well as useful for snow sports.
I read a few reviews and this helmet was reviewed as having ear pads that didn't fit well. Too far back and didn't effectively cover the ears.
That said if you want you can take the ear pads off and/or wear a toque (beanie) and it should work just fine.
I ended up going with the marker Phoenix from Evo for about $30 more as I had some rewards about to expire and it sounded like a more comfortable helmet overall with the Fidlock buckle (IYKYK)
But this is a solid choice for a quality dual use helmet with mips. If I'd been buying for myself I might have gone with the K2 virtue.
Evo is good about returns, but do note that this is final sale, so be sure you have the sizing right and that you're buying the helmet that you want
