Got this last time. Decent. A little bit of smashing when trying to make slices from a loaf. Haven't tried on American style whote sandwich bread cause I don't eat it.

C'mon. It's a bread knife, arguably THE kitchen knife that has the least taxing job of any knife ever. It doesn't need to have a brand name, it doesn't need to be made of the finest steel/titanium/unobtanium alloy, it just needs to occasionally cut a loaf of home-baked bread.

I am guessing that this $3 knife is entirely suited to the task for which it is sold.
