Lower guage = thicker wire and handle loads better.

Seems like a solid deal for a 40' with 3 plugins. Grabbed 2.

I didn't need this but it seemed solid so I was going to grab one. Read your comment and decide to grab two.

It's cheap but also not good for much. It's only good for very light use like lights, especially if you use all 3 plugs. Anything more substantial like vacuum, tools, etc this is no good.

At 13amp this can run a decent amount of things for the short term, including a fridge/freezer (my use case for connecting it via a battery backup). But as others have noted, it's not ideal or safe for long term connections with high power draw.

I had neighbors years ago, who did this as well. It didn't end so well.

Perfect for LED Christmas lights and yard blowups as they all draw low watts. In for 3. Thanks OP.

This cord uses a 16/3 gauge wire. A lower gauge cord would use 14/3 gauge or 12/3 gauge wire. And are pretty common for cables under 50'.

Yeah 16awg is pretty thin. I remember when Costco had 50ft 2 pack of 10awg for $40. That was pretty buts. I grabbed like 5 packs but dont know where i threw them all over the years lol. Now it's 12guage and $60.

I bought this a week ago and a rabbit chewed through it right after I installed it.
