I've been running dyed diesel for thousands of hours without issues. The dyed diesel is at least 75¢ cheaper per gallon. $3 a gallon at my gas station. Don't burn kerosene, vegetable oil, or waste oil, it will soot up and stop running. I've never had any issues running on low heat either. Every season I take the heater core apart for cleaning and never find much soot inside.
The most important factor to keep your unit running well is the fuel delivery from the fuel pump into the combustion chamber. Ideally I recommend replacing the fuel line connecting the fuel pump to the combustion chamber with 5mm OD 2.6mm ID hard nylon tubing. I had lots of issues with my Vevor not running over the long term until I removed the soft factory fuel line and replaced it with hard small diameter fuel line found on Amazon. The fuel pump needs to point 30-45 degrees upwards.

All the Vevor units are very similar. The heater cores are all the same. The outside dimensions, Bluetooth and carbon monoxide shutoff are the only major differences between the models. It's puzzling why they have so many different models when they are all so similar.

There is a ton of info online about these heaters. The biggest differences are the form factors.
Some have bluetooth which is nice. Ignore the 5kw/8kw ratings. They are basically the same. Don't run at low power levels or they will soot up. They have a shutdown cycle so never kill the power to them while they are running. Stick with non dyed diesel fuel for reliability. You can buy a 12V DC power supply online to run on them for about $25.

Anyone know the difference between the square ones vs the taller rectangular one... besides form factor? Pros / Cons?

Both have 1.3 gal tank size. Identical in that sense. I guess the tall one is better at stow away since the width is smaller while the square one seems more stable. I am considering the square one

Looks like the tall one is back in stock, but I'm glad I grabbed the shorter square one. I much prefer that form factor.

Can anyone recommend a converter to 110? Any considerations when picking one?

I have one of these in my garage I have set to 55 degrees. Sips fuel and does a good job of taking edge off the cold for the cars.

How long does the 1.3 gallon of diesel last in your scenario?
