Note that this uses an odd sized internal threaded lid system unlike most larger bottles that share a common external thread and size. This one won't take larger ice cubes or smaller ones in bigger bunches, and if you lose a lid, you may be SOL on getting a replacement, where the wide mouth ones can be bought lots of places.

Yup, I bought this one before and found out after purchase. It isn't "bad" but there are better ones. I'd recommend this if a) you can't afford better and b) are doing something intense like delivering mail for USPS in summer. Otherwise definitely choose off-brand ones as they have similar quality and bigger openings.

Almost ANY insulated bottle that uses vacuum between layers will say this, because long term exposure to the hot water in a dishwasher, followed by the cool down, increases the chances of popping the seal and losing the insulative value.
I won't even wash the ONE I have that says it can be in the dishwasher. It's not worth the risk.
The product description stated it will keep hot water for 12 hours. Does anybody know if I put the boiled water in it, what temperature I can expect it be after 8 and 12 hours?

I have numerous double-wall insulated bottles that I throw into the dishwasher. I've had no issues with them. Do what you like but I prefer dishwasher safe goods.

Good for you. But all but one that I bought new came with a note that they were NOT dishwasher safe. And I have...FAR too many.
