These adapters are handy in a pinch. Just remember they're for adapting plugs, not magically giving you more power.😄

Really should avoid these if you can. If you need to regularly use a TT-30 with a 5-15/20, you should shell out for an adapter with a built-in overcurrent protector.

This is a code violation. Its actually a safety issue. You can pull >12A out of that plug, but the wire will only be designed to handle ~15A. This means the wire will get hot, melt, and possibly start a fire. Good luck
