Maybe not a good a sale as the $75 off prime ribeyes like last time, but $50 off per package is pretty great deal. Most locations seem to be $14.99/lbs and average pack Aveerage 18lbs

During the previous $75 off sale, my costco raised the prices so the $75 off did nothing. After the sale they dropped the prices back down

Just to add a little more color here. These are cryo-vac'd whole sides, uncut (these are not "steaks" until you slice them yourself). I did not see any pack at my warehouse for less than $300 before the discount.

this is pretty much a scam, they raise the price to like 17.99-19.99 a lb during these coupons

Just bought a 13.5 pound slab at $14.99 a pound with the $50 off at our local Costco. Great deal.

agreed, it wasnt a good deal when I calculated it. It came out to be around $16ish per pound and I can hunt for better sales at other grocery stores.

costco blade contaminated steaks are always so overpriced to start with.

A whole similar choice ribeye roast is half the price at luckys.

Yes, but this is a slab, not individual steaks. I don't this they can blade-tenderize a slab.

This is a terrible deal. This would be an ok deal if it were prime grade but not choice. My local HEB had choice rib roasts for sale at $5.67 per pound

So, $11.30/lb for you, for USDA choice. It's probably possible to get a better sale price, on choice at least, *somewhere* in your region, but lately, it's not going to be easy.

I grabbed a ten pound roast for $6.90/lb a few weeks ago (Christmas sale) and carved it up into steaks, vacuum sealed and tossed in the freezer, but that was a one-off, and we won't see that again until, if we're lucky, around Easter.

They were 6.97/lb at Shaw's for 2 weeks around Xmas, and 6.99/lb at stop and shop by me after Christmas. I think SNS is selling off the ones they over ordered so they were 8.99 the week before

My family has a tradition of doing prime rib on Christmas (and although it's higher than last year, Publix is still reliable to have it on sale that week).
Aside from that, I've pretty much stopped buying beef until prices go down.
