What in tarnation?! I get a small portable monitor for when working remote and adding something for better productivity but this at this price point seems to be beyond niche

it's a high resolution 4:3 OLED monitor. Yes, it is beyond niche. It's highly sought after because you can play 480p retro content at exactly 4x integer scale. Yes, I would kill for this display (though I wouldn't pay $1649).

I'd totally get one for fun if it was 120Hz. 60Hz is simply not enough in 2026.

ASUS ZenScreen Duo OLED MQ149CD 14" 16:10 WUXGA Foldable Portable HDR Monitor, Silver might make more sense, but it is also 60Hz.

I bought this one which was more than half the price of the Asus ZenScreen. Dual 24" folding screen. Also has 3840 x 2160 resolution so a bit higher screen clarity.

to be fair since it's 4:3 aspect ratio it actually has the same area as a 18.4" widescreen display. So it's a little bigger than it sounds.

That's definitely a lot more practical given the price difference but it lacks the killer feature here … that one is not seamless.

What I'm hearing is your price as a hitman is lower than 1649 lol

You're forgetting that some people are just rich and willing to pay a premium for unique products.

I just bought a Xebec Tri-Screen 3, it just feels a bit more portable for my needs, but I can see the use case for these.
