This is a great watch in my opinion, I've had it for 2 years. It does what it needs to do efficiently and effectively, but never gets in the way with too many features/notifications. Obviously it's not for everyone. It will never hold a light to an Apple Watch's bells & whistles, but then again, this battery lasts about 25 days real world for me compared to 1-2 days. To me, that's a game changer. Get yourself a glass screen protector as I believe it's scratch prone without.

I love this watch. Mine still works great after giving it regular daily abuse for just about two years, and I charge it about once a month. That's what I'm looking for in a watch - something along for the ride that can take whatever is dished.

Its smart features are few (you can read text messages but not reply, its map/navigation is almost useless), but it gives great data and GPS recording. Two of the most useful features that I can no longer function without are the built-in lamp (I use red LED so I don't wake my little one when checking in on her at night) and bluetooth control for media. It is a lot easier to go forward/back with this watch than many earbuds.

It's got decent enough sleep info, too. Lets me know when I've been going a bit too hard for a few days.

I'll bite - my vivoactive music feels like it is on its last leg. It held up well, albeit I had to do a few warranties. I really want a fitness watch and don't really need music on it anymore so this seems to line up exactly with what I was hoping to move to but at a much better price than expected (granted I have $200 in amazon GC so that took the sting off). Going to keep an eye out for a watch trade in or something until it gets delivered (I opted for the 6% back for slower shipping on the amazon store card or whatever)

Purchased this watch over the summer for I believe 299. As others have said, its ability to last is incredible; I also like how durable it is and the little light is also incredibly useful.

Still, have been using my Apple Watch some but the 2X Solar is really good, just wish it wasn't so big on the wrist though.

I switched over to android and really miss using my AWU, can't find a good android watch. This seems to have all good feedback here. Might bite

This is the best price so far. The non-solar Instinct 2 was $250 during black Friday. I have and mostly use Apple Watch, and this Instinct Solar is my rugged one watch for hardcore outdoor or beach/sand/rock/salty/snow etc. abrasive environment.

I feel like two years ago Garmin watches were all over SD for $100, and now it's multiples of that. Are they greatly affected by the tariffs?

I've had this watch for 2 years. Durable with great battery life compared to Apple Watch. However interface is awful. GPS takes a while to lock in. Could not make the ski tracking app work appropriately. Heart rate monitor is relatively accurate to about 100-120 bpm. Above that, HR monitor significantly off. For example, my HR by pulse oximeter and feeling pulse 150. Watch read 114. Pulse ox feature seems accurate but takes forever and ANY movement stops the reading. Battery life after 2 years of near daily wear is down to 12 -15 days. Still waaay better than any Apple Watch. Bought primarily as an exercise monitor but its inaccuracy of heart rate makes it useless for this. It will display text messages and notify emails and calls. Can't answer with watch.
The apps and interface are extremely difficult to navigate. Clicking around by pressing assorted buttons seems easy enough but is actually klunky and hard to figure out how to use effectively. The watch is rugged. Bang it, swim it, waterski it, ski it. You won't hurt it. Solar charging works ok. Doesn't really charge much with wearing but will charge if left in direct sunlight. If you want a highly functional exercise tool, this wasn't it for me. It works great as a rugged long lasting watch. Would I buy it again? Nope. I'd buy an Apple Watch for better accuracy and ease of use.

The garmins were not for $100. The current one I have now is the music forerunner 245. I got that on clearance of $180 at Target about 2 years ago. They generally are $300. I had the Venu before that, I got it at $400. The amazefit brands were the $100 gps watches
