Highly recommend keeping one of these in your car's glove compartment if you have a dashcam. If you need that footage immediately, and don't have time to tinker with Wifi settings, CarPlay, dashcam menus, etc...you just take out the MicroSD card, pop it in, plug into iPhone and you're watching footage.

I don't think you understand the technological speed difference. This Anker product is capable of transfer speeds of up to 10gbps. Those adapters you linked are only capable of 5gbps transfer speeds. Very slow.
i know you can get entire USB docks for phones, but it would be cool if this form factor also had a headphone jack. i could see it being useful for carrying around a large but local music collection in MP3/FLAC, while connecting your favorite studio monitors.
I would think for the size they'd fit a small NVME drive. To me that would be worth it. I stopped using microSD cards and went to NVME. Data transfer speeds are a heck of a lot faster.

Honestly love this item but I wish they made it out of more durable material. I dropped this maybe for third time and back part literally came off and than had to buy a new one
Pretty solid for the price, but it's still depressing to think about. MicroSDs are incredibly tiny but we are all collectively getting ripped off with overpriced upgrades.
There are ways to mitigate the need of this such as certain credit cards that give "free" cloud storage subs but it's still pretty sad, even if the product itself is great.

This didn't occur to me and is a brilliant point. I struggled showing (and even just viewing) footage in situ after an accident; this would have been awesome to have. I still HAD the footage and got to it, but wow could I have saved a lot of annoyance trying to get the right clip up and stuff on my stupid little dashcam. (And in my experience "wifi dashcams" have absolutely useless speeds but maybe that's better now)
