From rtings.com:
The Hisense QD7 is inadequate for mixed usage. It looks very underwhelming in a dark room due to its terrible black levels. Additionally, HDR content is unimpressive since the TV isn't bright enough for a proper HDR viewing experience. The TV is bright enough to handle glare in a moderately lit room, but it doesn't have the reflection handling or brightness needed for a well-lit room. Fortunately, the TV has modern gaming features that make it a decent pairing with modern consoles if you care more about performance than image quality. Another positive is that the TV's viewing angle is good enough if you're viewing the screen from an angle.

This TV only got a 5.7 at Rtings.com

Vs the TCL qm6k that was on sale for $1200 has a 7.1 rating and is mini-LED.

Terrible is giving these too much credit. I did a lot of testing of TV's from multiple brands on behalf of a large security company that purchases hundreds of monitors/tv's a year. We have nearly every brand send us demo models to test. We had issues with 3 of the Hisense tv's and needed to get some parts. Good luck. They couldn't even get us a simple power supply. It was a nightmare talking to someone, let alone getting someone who knew anything about anything.

Ultimately, 3 months later, and entire new tv arrived (didnt know it was coming) with a shipping damage, we harvested the power supply, and sent it back. They billed us for both tv's and proceeded to ask us what we thought.

I always tell customers, don't expect to spend less and receive more. There will be trade offs. With these, its picture/hardware quality, customer service, and warranty support. In trade you get a large panel. That looks like an old DLP tv.

At this price, buy TCL at bestbuy.

I bought a TV this size basicallly (97 or 98 TCL version), we installed ourselves but it would have been extremely hard with one person and you kind of need to support it in the middle so three people are preferred.

The purpose of a TV like this for us was large as possible for sports and split screen gaming in our case, quality is secondary to price.

I bought an LG C5 that is smaller for another room (and was way more$) , definitely a step up in quality but we find ourselves usually just watching the larger TV because streaming video for the most part doesnt take advantage of the deeper blacks etc.

Have fun with numerous cancellations by Best Buy on day of delivery, without notice. After a month with 3 failed deliveries of a 98" tv and customer service escalation (per Best Buy policy), they were still not able to deliver or provide adequate resolution so I canceled the order.

This is not an uncommon experience with Best Buy when the tv is larger than what 1 person can install.

"Streaming video, for the most part, doesn't take advantage of the deeper blacks." Hahahaha. Streaming video has absolutely nothing to do with black levels. Lol. Nice TVs are wasted on you.

Truth, I had 4 cancellations 2 were day of at hour 10 or 11 of a 12 hour window. Had to go into best buy and request an actual geek squad person do it and not the third party folks they send to do the 98-100" tvs. I got the 98" tcl qm7k … I love that tv, and glad i spent more to get the better blacks and brightness… though it is almost too bright. In our basement I have to set brightness to less than 40% to not be blinding.

QM6K was like 1600 for the 98in. I believe a bit cheaper at Costco. I personally never saw 1200 that be FP. Don't think they make a 100in.
