I have got one and used it three times for mexican hot cocoa and it always held up. Nothing leaked if you open up the small tap on top of the lid. Kept it hot and warm for 6 hours each time.

I have the same one I bought last year on sale. The trick I use to avoid leaking is after you almost fill your glass you need to close off the air valve at the top and then continue to pour out a bit of liquid from the main valve. I had constant water leaks until I tried this and never had them after.

Unable to get the free ship. However the price with the discount is 33+ shipping. If your buying a few things, it's worth it. Still technically worth it to ship.

Appears to have a strainer at the bottom. So it depends how mushy your fruit is.

It will take sous vide temps. However most heat loss is from the top... Not the sides. So unless your willing to cut a hole on the top, just use a 5 gallon bucket with a piece of Styrofoam as a lid

I do a fair amount of cooking in a 5 gallon bucket and put a layer of saranwrap on the top.

For this I was thinking of cooking outside in the fall
