not exactly. The whole pc hardware sector has realized that they can cut the scalper in the middle out and do it themselves instead. We're witnessing major anti consumer practices in all aspects of capitalism right now and this is no exception.

Given the B580 price and performance, at the very least this should be 250 for the 16gb

Also, as a few review sites have pointed out, as this card only uses 8 of the 16 PCIE lanes, Gigabyte decided not to extend the card connectors to the full length of the slot. That means it is not able to take advantage of the clips on the motherboard at the end of the slot. If you buy this, you better make absolutely sure you screw it in securely. I would probably also pick up a video card bracket (but admittedly I am paranoid and have trust issues 🤣 ).

Congrats on that. I am pretty sure that was a pricing mistake though. That was a crazy price.

WTF. I have never seen that before. I guess not a huge deal with a card this small but that seems like a pretty absurd cost cutting measure.

The 5060 is about 45% faster but has less VRAM. It also supports DLSS4 and is 2 generations newer so it will be supported longer. Up to you if it is worth the money or not. The 5060 is also only an x8 card. That won't matter much if you have a modern PCIe slot but if you are on PCIe 3 still that may cause you a performance hit in some circumstances. If you have a PCIe 2.0 slot I would go with the 3060.

Not a clear answer either way I think.

I am wondering if we will see one of those any time soon. With the memory shortage, it seems like all the sales are on the 8GB and 12GB cards that have not been selling well.
