While that may be true, the seller "Sunco Lighting" has "98% positive in the last 12 months (2526 ratings)". And for the price, could be worth a potential gamble to someone. 🤷

Even for spotlights, 3W LEDs are very weak. Would say 5/7W minimum for object distances 3 feet away or more. ( though lumens vary, assuming margin of error, my rule of thumb is 1W = 100 lumens )

I like them just fine. In fact, I like them so much I'm buying two more. The ability to aim them is great for interior design, especially if you want to highlight artwork. The only thing I don't like is the black cord against my white wall but that can't be helped.

Nope, Vine users are not "paid." They do get free items to review but they're not paid. The manufacturers have no say in what reviewers choose to review. The NY Times did an analysis of Vine reviews. They found the reviews MORE helpful than non-Vine reviews, with reviewers actually justifying their opinions. They did find Vine Star ratings slightly higher, but did not find them unjustified.

In fact, WABC did a follow-up analysis and found non-Vine ratings LESS reliable because they were weighted down with 1) Shipping issues that had nothing to do with the product ("The box arrived dented!"); 2) Unhelpful emotional 1-star reviews ("I with give this zero stars if I could!" "This is the WORST purchase ever!"); and 3) Ignorance. People who didn't follow instructions and didn't know what they were doing. An example they cited was a reviewer who didn't bother to update the firmware of his GPS device. I saw another example yesterday. A 1-star review who claimed her flashlight stopped working when it was clear she accidentally locked it.

Vine is used by manufacturers to spark interest in new products. Items with no reviews get almost no clicks, so it's a way to get some reviews. It's no different from PC Mag or Consumer Reports getting sent unsolicited products to review. Sometimes they accept and sometimes they don't.

I constantly hear people complaining that Vine reviews are fake or untrustworthy. Or that reviewers are incentivized/pressured to give positive reviews (False, says an ex-roommate who belonged to Vine). Yet not once do the complainers provide any statistical evidence, or any evidence at all. If anyone has any proof, I'd love to see it (and no, I'm not just talking about a Reddit post or TikTok video). It's a shame that people just like to Downvote but don't have to intelligence to contribute to the discussion.

They're pretty good for the price. Replaced some ceiling halogen lights I had. Weird that the description says Plant light though. Doesn't have the spectrum for plants. But I guess it's good to light up a plant area.

They're fine for lighting up knickknacks. I use them for a glass shelf of lead crystal sculptures and paperweights. The lights are mounted under the shelf for dramatic effect.
