Bosch needs to stop being arrogant and lower their prices. They're not in the same league as their competition.
Bosch makes great tools but yes, they're a bit overpriced compared to what you can get out there.

I got this and the impact combo with 2 batts and charger on a front page deal a few years ago for $99.
Sure that was years ago. My point is I actually love the set.
I use the drill for pilot holes and a Milwaukee 18 fuel to drive long screws.

I use the 12v impact for things like plywood where I'm only using 1 1/4" screws. Or when working with shelves.

I don't know much about Bosch cordless, but M12 is a great system, lots of interesting tools, frequent deals. Look into the "installation driver" (https://youtu.be/Q_HafYtWWtM?si=H7YU9SJhcrtAohWF), very popular small drill/impact for around-the-house use. I really like mine, m18 impact only comes out when I have a lot of fasteners to deal with.

Bosch has their 12v chameleon installation driver with the omt on Amazon for $150 as well. The M12 installation driver has the weird placement of the reverse and forwards button on top of the drill.

I have had one of these since 2008, which I used for electronics service for several years. Tool is outdated, they even have a new brushless version, but the clutch in this one is awesome for working with plastics as someone said above. Also great for putting particle board furniture together.

This is my goto driver for almost 80% of applications. It has a surprising amount of power. It really shines in terms of compactness and weight. Very durable and the adjustable torque settings are great. You won't be disappointed unless you're looking for extreme power. Perfect for handyman work and light construction.

The old driver from Miwaulkee was my favorite until it got stolen.. reason i don't like it because you can push the bit in and lock. You have to pull the collet up. With this driver you just push in and it locks. I use tools everyday and that was a major pain when having to exchange bits all the time. M12 or Bosch are both great tools (have many of both). Something to consider.. if you plan to buy more tools M12 is the way to go WAY more offerings and batteries are more readily available (many sizes). Good luck.
