agree...i am using it as I am typing this review and it's a solid mac os system keyboard. But apple really should have added the touchID or sell a faceID camera for a more seamless experience.

Not a deal. This is the old model with lightning and no Touch ID. You can buy these for less new on eBay.

No. You'd want a mechanical keyboard from one of the usual gaming brands, like Razer, Asus ROG, SteelSeries, etc. There are some affordable Chinese knockoffs on Amazon that work pretty good, in my experience.

I have the compact keyboard and it's not for gaming. I much prefer my Corsair mechanical. I'm looking to buy mechanical BT KB to complement my new Mac mini

if you have purged yourself of all lightning devices then be warned this is the lightning version.

But is it a $100 better? I guess that's the question we'd have to ask ourselves.

Well it comes with a USB to lightning cable so as long as someone still has a charger with USB they'll be fine.

This should be half the price with lightning. Apple should be criminalised keeping that connector for so long!

Does your Mac detect Windows key? Mine doesn't even with karabiner.

Lol no. Avoid the gaming brands. They're trying to cash in on the craze when you can easily get better kb for same/better prices.

If you already have an Apple Watch, you can use it to unlock macOS, however the experience is not as reliable as Touch ID.
