Ok so no real updates or changes here other than USBC port and they're too cheap to include a cable.

You don't have dozens of spare USB-C cables?

Whether or not I do isn't the point. The point is they changed the micro USB port and cheaped out on putting in a replacement cable. I've had the micro USB for 6 years and it's fully compatible with the latest software, so the controller hasn't changed either. No changes to the materials, or the ability to set additional angle adjustments.

edit: thanks to the multiple people down voting me because they apparently are Logitech shills and don't see value in a proper upgrade

Unfortunately, Logitech has increasingly subscribed to the penny pinching way of doing business.

That's a shame because they used to be untouchable.

Everybody's sleeping on the quieter clicks. Totally worth the upgrade for that and USB C. Yeah I have the old one too and I hate plugging that thing in, it feels like it's gonna break every time I try to negotiate that plugin.

I put a magnetic adapter on mine so it just magsafeish to a cable at the end of the week. I use the same cable for the phone/tablet.

Love mine but it's showing it's age. This is tempting with the upgrades.

Have they added the infinite scroll wheel yet? I've been wanting to get one for my wife, but the infinite scroll wheel is a must have

It's basically something like this: https://a.co/d/9ZPy1Rg

Has multiple tips for all kinds of devices but they all use a flat magnetic connector universally.

It comes with quieter switches and a smoother (less rubbery) surface.

I wonder if they've fixed the double clicking issue that has plagued Logitech mice for a long time. If not, $80 would be too big of a gamble IMO.

^ This. I have an MX Ergo that has the double click problem, been replaced under warranty once already. Thought about investing in better quality switches, but I suck at soldering and the switches are tiny.
