$100 more than the BF HP deal, still one of the best 5080 options out there.
Only downside is this model gets a bit hotter than other brands like ASUS or Dell Alienware

I personally prefer 18 inch micro led for gaming. But if I had to buy a 16 inch gaming laptop, OLED screen is a must. Nothing else compares (besides micro led on the 18 inchers, no one makes 18 inch OLED gaming laptops currently).

It is but it's very finicky. I originally bought Kingston fury impact 5600 CL40 and the laptop would not take it with extensive troubleshooting. The laptop I bought had 16gb of sk hynix and I bought the same thing with same timings and speed but 32 and luckily that worked

I was in a local Best Buy in November and they had this model, open box, for 1100. I impulse bought it. I asked why it was listed as "fair," and the manager told me they won't let them discount it that much if it's listed as better. Was a screaming deal, and this is the closest I've seen to that price (brand new as well). I really love this laptop. Highly recommend. EDIT: Note - I missed that this was the Ryzen. I have the Ultra 9.

It does? It has a dual fan setup in it. You'd think it would blow out more hot air.

Not sure how much that applies to the AMD models which run cooler than the Intel. I'm typing on this laptop model now and have had no issues with fans or heat. The fans don't even run for casual use.
PS- Microcenter return policy is 100 times better than HP.com as well.

I have the Intel version.
It's a decent machine, but a few things to keep in mind, comparing to similar products:
- touchpad is cheap and terrible
- speakers are really bad
- overheating issues (repaste or RMA)
- HP bloat (do a fresh install)
- 5080 and 5090 versions primary SSD slot requires heatsink removal and repaste.

All that said, it's good for gaming - the extra VRAM over 5070 is worth it, especially if you mod games. Frame gen x4 is better than I expected and I run Cyberpunk with most RT options.

Cool story bro.

Please post the link with an 18inch micro led with a 5080 for 1799.00
