Yall think a prescription from 2023 is still good enough for a pair of reading glasses or should I cough up for a new prescription? There's a cash type, no insurance place where the exam is around $30 or it was then. I'm still using a progressive set from same prescription.

Oh and Coupon code SALE38 seems to take more off than the black friday one and isn't expired.

Subtotal $15.00

Discount -$5.70
Total $9.30

*update* Cheap place is still $30 with eyeglass purchase but went to $50 for just the prescription. Typical.

Even adding the basic coatings for $8 it is still an excellent deal.
Rarely been disappointed by G4U. Some of the frames don't last forever. Still, slick compared to Optometrist charges.

I actually bought a pair on the 17th and they should be arriving on the 2nd, which is about par for the course (been shopping here since 2019). Not bad considering it's holiday season. Do note they're cheap for a reason, I only use them as backup frames or cheap driving sunglasses which is perfect for me since I change my prescription every year.

I select all the options for the lenses, coating, etc. and get a generic "You need to choose options for your item." error when adding to the cart, with no explanation of which options were missing.

Anyone else getting that?

Website is garbage and don't expect to ever find a frame you order and like to be able to reorder. I literally looked day after receiving in mail and no longer available.

In South Korea it takes, literally, 10 minutes to make you a full set of prescription glasses from start to finish and hand it to you on the spot. Never understood why it takes 2 weeks for basic eyeglasses to be made in the US. Not only that, it costs 4 times as much too, with no distinction in quality either. There is so many middle man in the transaction, everyone wanting a piece of the pie. Its ridiculous.

I recommend people to get their glasses in South Korea if they visit, travel or business.
Are you planning to fly me to South Korea to get some glasses free of charge or something?

Once, I found a dollar.

I just got mine a week and a half ago from the BF sale. So a little less than a month. I think the frames are better than expected for the cost, but not as good as you would get if you went to an actual store and got them. Maybe it is because I have a fat head, but the bows feel very stressed where the hinges are, and I won't be surprised if they break after 6 months to a year. I also got all the lens coatings and whatnot. I feel the transition lens stuff doesn't work as advertised, but the blue light coating may be effective. I bought 4 pairs, no regrets. Cost $130-`140, which is about as much as I paid for my last set of glasses. if on the fence, I'd say give it a try. I'm overall satisfied.

If you look at things in the normal range you need most and it's not clear, yes. Otherwise, too small of a change, imo, if any to be worth it.

Well given 1) I'm wearing a progressive pair with same prescription 2) I'm only going to be using the pair for reading glasses at home and 3) I'm even considering the pair in the first place because the progressive pair which I got from a different place than googles4u keeps sliding down my nose so the readable part of the progressive pair isn't lined up which gets annoying I went with a pair. If they bug me it's no big deal after putting things in perspective. I took a friend to lunch at a japanese place earlier in the week as a type of Chrismas/New Years "gift" and the bill ended up costing around $22 per person ordering from their lunch choices so balance that against a $15 pair of glasses.
