Anyone have an experience with this company. Do they hassle you about old prescriptions?

I have been using the same pair of glasses I bought from them years ago. The frame is not quality but it's durable

Can anyone recommend a better quality frame here, I would gladly pay extra for a more robust frame over the $3.95 cheapo ones.

I was going to reorder but my previous frames, the "Sports Eyeglasses 130589-c" show out of stock and I imagine discontinued. They were good-quality plastic frames that were heavier-duty than most and gave me years of good wear.

Another nice thing about my previous frames was that although I believe they were a size large, the rectangular lens frames were relatively compact and the glasses did not dominate my face like so many I see on the site now. The only frames on the current site that look fairly close to what I had are the Champion FORGE 100 and the Ted Baker TB0802.

Even adding the basic coatings for $8 it is still an excellent deal.
Rarely been disappointed by G4U. Some of the frames don't last forever. Still, slick compared to Optometrist charges.
My kid needed glasses, optometrist wanted $400. Zenni wanted $40. Everything is slick compared to the optometrist😅

I've been through all of the budget glasses stores: goggles4u, zenni, coco leni, etc. These days I'm finding the best quality and prices on AliExpress. The last pair I purchased is a really nice titanium frame with 1.61 (thinner/lighter) lenses and they cost less than $60 shipped. There are tons of vendors on there so it can take some work to find what you want, but so far I've had good luck searching with CLLOIO, LUCY and TILIKEU.

Can you point me to where you found the titanium frame set in that price range if it was recent. Otherwise thanks for the info.

Search CLLOIO on AliExpress and they'll come up. You can also filter them by titanium to see all the styles.

WHat did the price on your progressives end up being and what type frame did you pick?

One of the best deals I've found. Doesn't matter if it takes a month as these are just back up glasses. Thanks for the post!

I have used them a bunch. You can choose to type in the prescription, so if it's old, they'll never know. They are a bit slow to ship. I've never had a problem with them though. If you have an issue with the glasses, they will remake them once in 15 days after they've arrived. I've bought progressive lenses several times and they've come out well.

I have had the wrong prescription sent where it said -0.75 and they sent 0.75 but they did redo the glasses and send me a fixed pair when notified. The biggest hassle was finding another set of frames to use as I needed the stems > 145mm and the frames I had used on the initial pair were no longer available. Frames are basically disposable today because by the time you had new lenses ground to fit existing frames you could have gotten a whole new pair. The only exception is if you paid for bendable titanium frames or something like that.

Can you order simple "Reader" glasses without a prescription ?

And are they any better than what you would get at Walgreens etc off the rack ?

Thanks for the info
