If you look at it on Amazon, there are some differences. They certainly made it look like a mocha master though.

How it looks is nothing to do with how it tastes. The time and temperature aspects of boiling the water are key to making a good tasting coffee.

If you re-read my sentence I was referring the Moccamaster's "design patents". The design and quality of the components has a direct impact on temperature/time (how long the hot water is in contact with the grounds) and the coffee produced. The Technivorm Moccamaster has been around since 1969. Their basic design and quality has stood the test of time.

To be fair, $144 does seem like a good price for what it it is, but I'd rather buy the machine still handmade in the Netherlands (the Technivorm).
