We changed to pour over coffee for that very reason -- using a stainless + paper filter & stainless electric kettles. Great coffee flavor. No plastic.

Bella is ass. Their shit breaks and will not honor warranty even within the warranty period.

I have one and returned it. It smells like burnt coffee plus aluminum isn't good either
