we bought this full price for our baby. he liked it, and i never regretted the purchase.
the soft toys are cute, and baby used them even after he outgrew the playmat. the ballpit configuration is useful when baby has enough strength to push toys and balls around because it keeps toys inside the play area.
i suggest using the savings to get one of the kick-piano playmats, which encourage lower body movement and tummy time. we had one of those too, and when baby got bored with this infantino playmat we moved him to the kick-piano.
