This is a good choice for a mass market mechanical keyboard. Only things one need to consider are the non-standard sized key caps on the bottom row and Corsair's customization software is a chonky beast.

Looks like this palm rest is different than past ones. They used to have the fake leather stuff that fell apart fairly easily.

The speed switches are nice for gaming for sure. For typing, its not as accurate as blues or reds IMO

It's got a pretty standard loud click-clacky sound as a mechanical keyboard with no sound dampening. I love it but mechanical keyboards drive my partner crazy. In any case, would avoid this (and any other) mechanical keyboard if you don't want loud clacky keystrokes.

paying for the name, this keyboard is very overpriced for what it offers on a 10yr+ old corsair K70 design, someone can get the same features with a off brand for $35 with more features and removable switches. The switches aren't even removable on most Corsair keyboards and the software is average. There are way better keyboards out there at the $90 price point

Not even a name worth paying for.

As someone with a corsair keyboard. The software is worse than average. It likes to wipe settings on updates and sometimes the updater breaks completely and requires manual steps to repair before the program will work again. They also removed features from my keyboard lighting at least twice so far.
