How do you like it? Read lots of bad reviews about it, but we currently have the old gen google wifi mesh network and it has worked well for us

I had the first gen wifi, worked like a champ. However, it coming out in 2016 gave me security concerns in the future, and the open box price was rock bottom. I purchased openbox set from BB. Relativly easy to setup, but definitely some hiccups with dropped connections. However, from what I observed, it had more to do with my devices themselves having trouble connecting using the newer 6E tech. Through some individual device troubleshooting, and network resets every now and then, it's been pretty steady after ~1 month.

It's giving trouble after 2 months. I tried a factory reset, and it didn't work. I had to call Google support to resolve the issue by reinstalling the Google Home app. I resolved the first extender issue. Now, the second one is giving the same trouble.

My only apprehension is that Google keeps nerfing Nest product functionality. That being said, I doubt they would do harm to a router's capabilities.

I've owned four since release. No issues for me. A lot seem to have issues though.

I have four of these in a three story rental property for students. Range isn't great but there are good aftermarket mounts and they are very small and look nice. Two are hardwired and two are wireless backhaul. They must be ok because I haven't had a single complaint.

Why are you here asking, when you have a working product that you're happy with?

I've tried plenty of mesh Wi‑Fi systems, and nothing comes close to this one in terms of reliability. Yes, Wi‑Fi 6E might not be the newest tech anymore, but if you want a stable, consistent connection, this is the way to go.
I previously used an Asus Wi‑Fi 7 router with AI Mesh, multi‑link, and all the fancy features, but my devices kept disconnecting. Switching back to Google Wi-Fi gave me better coverage, equally fast speeds, and most importantly, zero random dropouts.
In the end, I'm glad I chose stability over chasing the latest specs.
