The RT100 stands out for its typing feel, sound, and playful built in screen, with the FN layer macro feature adding useful extra control. The compact layout is easy to like once adjusted to the shorter length, and the south facing LEDs are a drawback for shine through keycaps. The bigger concerns are software and quality control, including buggy drivers, mode switching, loose switch contacts, and wireless sleep behavior that can miss keystrokes. That makes it a quirky board with real appeal, but also enough reliability issues to watch closely.

Common Questions (5)

  • The driver software can be hard to detect on the PC, and the US website drivers have confusing version numbers where higher numbers are not necessarily newer. A functional latest driver may need to be obtained through Taobao customer service, and some units reportedly have mode-switching bugs that interrupt input.

  • Several comments report poor QC and failures within a year, with some units dying in under 6 months. Warranty support is also described as effectively non-existent, so it may be a risky buy if you want long-term reliability.

  • $45.05 is not considered a standout price because it was reportedly $40 in December. A cheaper alternative mentioned is the Aula F75 from AliExpress at about $45, with better sound and reliability.

  • The RT100 uses south-facing LEDs, which can make most shine-through keycaps very dim or nearly useless. That matters if you plan to swap keycaps and want bright legends.

  • Wireless mode can put the keyboard to sleep too aggressively, and the first key after wake-up may register while the second key is missed. That makes it annoying for fast typing unless you can tolerate the wake delay.

Jesus why are the reviews so bad? 45$ seems like a good price. Does anyone any experience w this one?
Epomaker in general has trash QC and a basically non-existent warranty. I learned the hard way.

Thanks for replies. I did some digging and found out the price was 40$ in December and I was divided then too. So 45 is not the best price. Secondly, this keyboard is trash for the price. For anyone looking there's one called Aula F75 which is 45$ if you buy from AliExpress. Sounds WAY better and generally is more reliable too. (I'm still wondering if I should get that - not sponsored or anything lol)

Less and fewer are functionally synonyms in this context? Did you mean to say zero because yes they have much better models but typically those are their rebranded stuff. Their P series is pretty good though.
Fewer is for countable things (fewer people, keyboards, comments, issues), less is for uncountable amounts (less water, effort, happiness).
So technically he's right, but it probably wasn't worth the comment.

Keyboard software is hot garbage. Plus the PCB contacts are oddly loose for some switches and not for others. Quality control wasn't very good on these units.
Quality Control for Epomaker is hot garbgage. Regularly reported to have keyboards die within a year, including mine which didn't even last 6 months.

"Less and fewer are functionally synonyms in this context?"

No, they're not. Hence my comment. Fewer issues. Not less issues.

The other guy already explained it in a less pedantic way. There was zero need for this comment, and yes they are synonyms since they both indicate a decrease of a quantity...

Epomaker X Aula is a thing now. Generally speaking, Epomaker tends to collab/rebrand and resell. Not necessarily a bad thing, as the Galaxy68 is a solid board, and I have some Epomaker x AJAZZ ones that are also fine for sub $100 clankers.

Actually, there was a need for the comment. They asked a question, I replied. And no, they are not synonyms. I suggest browsing Diana Hacker's "Rules for Writers" when you get a chance to fully understand that rule (along with many others) of the English language.

Actually, there wasn't. You knew the original intent but are still insisting on being pedantic even after someone else already explained the issue BETTER than you could. If you truly wanted to help you would have just done what they did and provided reasoning instead of a one word correction. I suspect you are a Linux user or Redditor with this behavior...

If we are on the topic of suggested reading, then I suggest reading a book about semantics and how English has multiple words that perform the same function in different contexts.

Also the definition of a synonym:
A synonym is a word, morpheme, or phrase that means precisely or nearly the same as another word, morpheme, or phrase in a given language. For example, in the English language, the words begin, start, commence, and initiate are all synonyms of one another: they are synonymous.

Once again, I strongly suggest browsing Diana Hacker's "Rules for Writers". The stuff contained inside is pretty wild!

I suggest reading this website. It's more succinct and again actually useful:

Proper application of the grammar of the language usually is more than just having a thesaurus at your command. But hey, you have 300 different ways to say "lazy"!

Proper application of time would realize there's no point in commenting on a distinction that has been eroded away and is almost meaningless, especially when it has already been cleared up. Yet here you are still trying to lecture English on a deals website about a keyboard... At least the other guy was helpful. You are just a troll.
