Did they ever end up including the deleted scenes in the Blu-ray release? I know they were a part of the old DVD box set.

I don't know if I'd call them deleted scenes... But the DVD episodes definitely had more content in many of the episodes. Watching the HD versions (streaming, blu-ray) always feels like we're missing something after so many years of getting used to the DVDs.

As far as I know they haven't remastered those missing sections and included them in any HD releases.

I found the characters in friends insufferable. I only watched it occasionally because I was a big fan of Courtney Cox.

No they didn't, they interviewed a producer or something a while back and he told them they don't have the original films for the longer episodes so they can't remaster them for HD. Not sure if that's true or not, but regardless the blu ray and HD digital versions don't contain the full versions.
