These are amazing but why pay this much when the Ryobi is just as good ?

I wish they had this sale earlier this year. Already got myself a Milwaukee 7-1/4.

In the same boat - just bought Bosch 7-1/4 with two 4Ah batteries from the December deal, although I have mostly Dewalt tools and no other Bosches

Yeah same. I'm heavily in DeWalt. The upside on your miter saw is that it's 4 lbs lighter than the DeWalt (30 Lbs). Not much difference but when you move it around a lot like me, it helps.

Did not see this on R. But decided to pull the trigger anyway. Feels way more manageable than a 780 for my use case

Have 4 miter saws . . . this one gets used 70 to 80% of the time. Small, LIGHT, and the blades for this saw are dirt cheap.

Both good saws. If you're changing angles a lot, the DeWalt is much faster/easier. Kept my DeWalt, sold the Bosch.

This saw is considered by many professionals- THE BEST 7 1/4 saw. The Ryobi may get the job done, but it aint no Dewalt.

I am also debating to get Dewalt and return Bosch. Although the price of this decision would be $100 more and two less batteries.
