Series S/X consoles will use this drive to store games and play prior generation games, but will get an error message when trying to run Series S/X games directly from this device. The Series xbox consoles cannot run the current generation games off of USB storage. You have to use their expensive proprietary storage port in the back.

This is a 5400rpm drive. It's going to be slow as hell. This is best for data storage like smaller files and such or large files that you don't mind waiting to read or write. This is too slow for games in my option, in our current SSD era.

It not THAT slow. It OK for library of small size games.
