This looks very similar to the D'elonghi Stilosa espresso maker and is roughly the same price on sale. FWIW, I have the Stilosa and if you have a decent grinder and get a few cheap accessories like a better basket and tamper it can be pretty good. Lance Hedrick has a good video on it on Youtube.

One thing I like about the Stilosa that might not be true of the model in the original post is that it has a manual power on switch. This means you can leave it set to warm-up mode and plug it into a smart power switch and turn it on remotely. This means I can have it warming up before I even get out of bed in the morning.

This is crap that's not worth a dime. Get a real espresso maker or get a moka pot or just stick to your filter coffee maker.

You cant make an idiot-proof espresso machine without at least one metal boiler, PID control, bottomless portafilter (not this double-walled crap).

The DeLonghi Stilosa warms up quickly (around 30-40 seconds for brewing). Are you literally serious to remotely turn it on/off?
