What are the advantages of having smaller reels vs one larger reel? Only reason I can think of is you get to keep them in vacuum bags longer if you don't print often.

I think maybe mini printers use these. They're just annoying if you have a regular sized printer. Doesn't work with most multi color material feeders either. The amount of time and filament you need to make an adapter is definitely not worth it.

The advantage for me is that I don't use white often so the smaller rolls are better as the unused rolls stay fresh. The most used colors for me are black and gray which I purchase in 1kg rolls.
