What happens if you spill something? Would it get gross underneath?

If it can't wash away, yes. Like an interior setting. Outside, spill pop and you got ants until it's washed away.

This is also less tiles than the recent 10 wood tiles, but won't need any maintenance, and about the same overall price difference. I'd probably prefer these, and they have more support on the ground.

Thanks!

I had a crappy old concrete patio that I used Newtech deck tiles to cover up. For me it was a no brainer, it was like $1200 in materials and a few hours vs pay someone $15K for concrete demo and install a brand new composite deck.

These look like they would get very slick when moisture is on their surface.

I grow vegetables and use them under the grow bags on my deck.

These are made by many different manufactures and the cheap ones tend to have trouble locking together or break if the floor underneath isn't completely flat. I suggest sticking with the ones from Costco which cost more but are pretty solid, and do not collect mildew. Check the one star review on these ones.

Not sure about van life these days personally. But cheap flooring for a camper van conversion is definitely an interesting use case. $72 should cover most cargo vans, maybe $54. Been planning a build for a decade (heh...) and you're right, this seems like a cheap hack with a nice look.
