I picked this up for sale @ Target. Loved the size and feel but the lid broke very easily almost making it unusable. Reading reviews online mentioned the same thing.
Got one from last sale at this price and it's a decent product. The wide mouth and handle is nice. Well built and perfect for the office. Too bad the 101 oz isn't price. It's the better bigger brother with the swiveling handle and mouthpiece cover.
I got the black one for $14 back in January, don't know why it's doubled the price now. It's really good, keeps stuff cold for a long time, at least as long as my Klean Kanteen. I like the big, wide mouth, easily fitting ice cubes from the fridge's ice maker.
Good water bottle but just an fyi I barely dented mine from a drop and it lost its insulation. Great bottle otherwise but was surprised how little of a dent caused that to happen.
Ive owned one of these for a couple years. I drive a workvan and it has gotten tossed around and banged up a lot and it still works just fine. However, seeing other peoples comments I may have gotten lucky so YMMV. The lid is pretty poopy though.

I paid $12.50 mid year. I believe typical price was $15-20. I agree with your sentiment.
